At least 62 people have died in Mexico from severe pneumonia caused by a flu-like illness. The WHO said that 12 of the Mexican cases have been linked genetically to a swine flu virus that has appeared in California. Officials in the United States said that seven people were infected with swine flu in California and Texas, and all have recovered.
